Dr SteckDr. Kerry R. Steck earned her BS degree in Chemical Engineering at Michigan State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree at Ferris State University. Her clinical experience includes internships at Ciba Vision Research Clinic in Atlanta and Omni Eye Services in Chattanooga, as well as laser vision care at Woolfson Eye Institute and TLC Piedmont Laser centers.

Dr. Steck has practiced general optometry in the Greenville area for Dr Steck sailingtwenty years. She founded Pelham Vision Center in 1993 and quickly established it as one of the premiere eye care offices in the Upstate.  She specializes in challenging contact lens fittings and consulting for lasik and refractive IOL surgery.   In her spare time, Dr. Steck enjoys travelling and sailing her Hobie Cats with her husband,  as well as creative interests in sewing, quilting, and scrapbooking.

Dr WoodyDr. Charles J. Woody received his undergraduate degree in Physiology from Michigan State University, his MS in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University, his PhD in Physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his OD from Nova Southeastern University. He did his postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School.

A member of the American Optometric Association, the American Diabetes Association and the South Carolina Optometric Association, Dr. Woody has conducted research on ocular involvement of systemic endocrine disorders, ocular complications of diabetes mellitus and the mechanism of hormone action.

Before joining Dr. Steck at Pelham Vision Center he served as the Director of Research and Optometrist at the Diabetes Care Center for the Greenville Hospital System and on the faculty of several universities including Northwestern University, the University of Illinois at Chicago and Southeastern University. He has lectured internationally and has co-authored several publications on various aspects of endocrinology, specifically diabetes mellitus. He is currently an adjunct clinical faculty member at the New England College of Optometry and in private practice at Pelham Vision Center.
